West Bengal will make investments Rs 20,000 crore within the energy sector over the subsequent 5 years, a state minister mentioned on Saturday. The state has been upgrading its energy infrastructure, particularly within the aftermath of cyclone Amphan, and adopting renewable vitality, he mentioned.

“We can be investing Rs 20,000 crore over the subsequent 5 years,” Energy Minister Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay mentioned on the CII-organised 11th Vitality Conclave. He, nevertheless, didn’t elaborate on the proposed funding.
